I bought these about 7 years ago for a multi-pet household and I'm still using all four of them. With no fewer than six cats using them, they've been through the ringer - aka the washing machine more times than I can count. And out of the four that I have, only one has finally developed a small wear spot (that means it's lasted longer than most of my t-shirts). Unlike many mats, whatever material is inside of them does NOT bunch up after washing. They generally come out in the same condition they went in to the machine.



I usually place them on the floor in front of the heat vents and all of the cats will squeeze together onto them - even some that normally do not get along. No matter where I put one, there's sure to be a cat on it making it the perfect diversionary tactic for work spaces. I put one off to the side of my computer so they can sleep close but not be on my keyboard.



I would absolutely recommend these to any cat owner.

The highlight of our two dogs day is usually me arriving back home from work in the evening. We greet each other and then they each get a crunchy, delicious, bone-shaped biscuit that further enhances the happiness of the moment. Life is good. We've been playing this little ritual for the past 3 years, even since they've been grownup enough to handle a large dog biscuit and they've haven't been sick or even 'moody' ever, not for one day.



Judging by ingredients alone: wheat flour, meat and bone meal, what bran, milk, beef fat (preserved with BHA), salt, natural flavor, wheat germ... some vitamins, minerals, not bad. I did try to educate myself on BHA, by the way and, it turns out, depending on who's research you trust, it's either a possible cancer hazard or an anticarcinogenic. At one biscuit per day, it's probably neither and our vet said it's okay.



So... there. One box treats two dogs for a couple of months, makes them happy and is quite inexpensive. What's not to like?

this toy is very well made and withstands all the chews and tears from my dog. My husky loves it! squeaks but in a deeper, lower sound so it's not as annoying as a normal squeaker. my dog is a medium chewer, but he likes to pull out furs on plush toys and tear them apart from the seams then....fillings everywhere...dog owners you know what I'm talking about :-) 90% of the plush toys I bought didn't last more than 2 days. But this hedgehog withstands all of that teething just fine for nearly a year. That's well worth the money in my opinion. I replace it every year and now it's the third one. For my 65lb husky a medium size is ideal, but a junior size is ok too.

All three of my cats LOVE this scratcher! I should have gotten more since they are constantly chasing each other off of it. It's sturdy and at 3" thick they won't be destroying it anytime soon. I love that it can be recycled after they destroy it and that it's sturdily assembled and arrived right in time! It comes with a bag of very finely ground catnip which I sprinkled on the scratcher. Now comes my only complaint, I noticed when one of the cats moved the scratcher the catnip had gone through the spaces between the cardboard and onto the floor. Maybe the bottom should have been solid to prevent that, but then we wouldn't be able to flip it over when/if one side begins to wear down. Not a big deal since 2 of the cats and the dog love catnip and cleaned it up right away. Regardless the cats are leaving the furniture alone and when one of them isn't scratching it, then one of them are laying on it and purring like the happiest kitties in the world!! I will update in a few months to see if their love affair lasts and if the scratcher holds up well. So far though this meow mommy loves seeing her fuzzy children so happy!



So it hasn't even been a month yet, and I have ordered a second one. Not because there is anything wrong with the first one, but because my cats fight over it constantly!! So far the first one is holding up well, but with three cats in the house there was always someone who wanted to scratch while someone else was taking a nap on top of the scratcher and then one would end up pummeling the other! Now with two in the house there seems to be some semblance of peace restored in my home! Who knew some cardboard would make them so happy!! As long as it continues to hold up well and make it worth the list price of $34.95 I will be ecstatic!!



We have had both of our scratchers for 4 months or so, and my furry children still continue to use them as both a scratcher and a bed every day. Granted the cardboard has shredded some but when I vacuum every few days I just pick up the scratcher and knock it a few times over a trashcan and it's good to go again! The scratcher is holding up great even with 3 kitties constantly abusing it with their claws.

This is fantastic shampoo. Some of the other customers complained about the smell (not that it smelled bad, but that their dogs tried to eat it), but that probably varies by dog attitudes towards fruit flavoring and consuming soap. My dog stood calmly for 5 minutes while I constantly lathered her to keep her from losing interest (what dog doesn't enjoy a massage). After the shampoo, I used the matching conditioner for another 5 minutes. There was enough dog fur in the bath for me to wonder if she was going bald. Once dry, I combed her out with the FURminator brush (which I also love). Yet another whole dog's worth of fur came out, now that it had been loosened by the bath. The result is noticeably less shedding, a pleasant smelling animal, and SUPER SOFT fur. I definitely recommend this for anyone losing their mind over the amount of animal hair in the house.

Well, I guess it all comes down to dog personalities and training. My 6 year old female German Shepherd Dog absolutely ADORES this stuffed Kong Moose. She's had it for several months now and plays with it daily. She will carry it around the house and into the truck (we don't let her take these outside). She will shake it, pull on it, toss it up in the air, run wildly around the whole house, squeak it, chew a little on it and sleep with it! I've washed it and after all this, it still looks almost like new! It is constructed of very good quality fabric and materials which are sewn very sturdily and is holding up much better than we had ever hoped! We like this Kong stuffed toy so well, we bought several more in the other shapes. This moose one is a very loved favorite of hers. She seems to especially like the antlers and tail. We have many other stuffed toys that she barely notices or that have fallen apart in short order, but not this one! We feel we have more than gotten our money's worth and will buy these again!

I got a sample of Carefresh Colors from the petstore when I bought the Hamster cage kit and loved it. I've owned guinea pigs, rats and hamsters before but had never used Carefresh Colors. I was impressed with its softness and its ability to absorb fluids and odors.



It was time for me to buy some more bedding and I thought Carefresh was pretty much the same as Carefresh Colors, except that Carefresh was less colorful. Out of the bag, I was a little disappointed, because the bedding was not as soft and fluffy as Carefresh Colors. It has more the texture of something I might expect if maybe I wet a bunch of newspaper, wadded it up, let it dry and then shredded what was left. It's rough and dry.



My hamsters don't seem to mind the change. They shred the Carefresh to make it fluffier for the little corner they like to burrow in. It's just as absorbent as the Carefresh Colors and controls odors just as well. The cage smells nice and fresh. Although it's not as pretty as Carefresh Colors, there is an advantage to it being a drab grey, the feces don't show.



If softness and bright color is important to you and your small pet, get Carefresh Colors. If hiding the feces is more important, regular Carefresh is best. If you are looking for absorbance and odor control, they both work equally well.

UPDATE: I did not like the first batch of Carefresh, which I based this review on. However, my second batch of Carefresh from a different is a lot nicer. It's softer and lighter in color.



Although I still prefer the softness of the Colors, regular Carefresh does have advantages. The hamsters like to clean their cage of poop. When they see it, they throw it outside the cage. With the Colors, there's poop everywhere. They don't seem to see poop as well with the regular Carefresh, so I don't get so much poop all over outside the cage.

I work at a pet store and own two cats. I'm able to test litter used for one cat per box at home, and multiple cats at the adoption center located within my store. I've also had the opportunity to try a great deal of products. This litter is absolutely amazing, the best I've ever used. The clumps are as hard as rocks, but at the same time don't break apart into smaller pieces like some other litters do. It's unscented, and the litter box remains odorless even after heavy use. It's also dust free.



To compare to other brands:



World's Best is natural, flushable, non-toxic, and clumping. However, if you live in a small house or apartment the smell will get to you. The litter box will smell like vomit even after a couple uses. I have never used Swheat Scoop, but I heard it's a little better with smell than World's Best.



Fresh Step, Tidy Cats, Premium Choice, and Petco's store brand are decent, but each has disadvantages like dust, or clumps breaking apart or turning into sticky mud. They're relatively cheap however, so this is a major advantage for those on a tight budget.



Crystal litters have amazing odor control, last awhile, and don't track. There isn't a single clumping litter that doesn't track. The problem, however is with diarrhea or loose stools. You'll end up throwing away a ton of litter since the crystals don't clump. Not all cats will use the crystals, and some people are also worried about health effects from the silica dust, though companies that produce the litter claim it is non-toxic.



Cedar, crushed pea, pine cone, and cellulose litters all have their own problems. The crushed pea litter is basically dust in a bag. Even though the smells of pine or cedar are pleasant to humans and mask the smell of urine and feces, many cats are afraid of the odor and won't use the litter box. These litters also suffer from the same problems as the crystals with regards to diarrhea and loose stools. Cellulose litters don't smell, but they also cannot handle loose stools and may not absorb as well as crystals.



If a natural, flushable, environmentally litter is important to you, by all means purchase a litter based on wheat or corn. If price is the most important factor, buy a cheap clumping brand if minor inconveniences don't bother you too much. If you want a reasonably priced, high quality product with no dust and great clumping ability then choose Precious Cat Ultra.

One thing I'd never thought I'd ever consider myself very knowledgeable about would be piddle pads. I'm a pro. I've tried several different brands and know what I want and don't want in them. Yes, I've used the medical chucks and they do work for me, but because my Liam can be a roamer, sometimes they aren't as optimal as I'd like. The chucks, which are fairly inexpensive, measure only 17" x 24 inches. In my short video clip you can see the difference between them and the All-Absorb, which is a much, much better option.



You really have to think about your reason for ordering this size pad. If you have a small dog under ten pounds, these will be perfect. If you have a large breed pup who will quickly outgrow them, you'll be sorely disappointed. I use them year-round, but many people use them during the winter months because their dogs can't go out in inclement weather.

The surface of the All-Absorb pads quickly wicks away the liquid into the fiber. Sometimes the thicker pads tend to keep the liquid on the surface for some reason, but the All-Absorb work well in this regard. I change pads often and you'll have to consider how many you'll use when you decide to order. One hundred pads will probably last long enough to get that pup trained.



I'm not having any "adjustment" problems with the All-Absorb and I do like the added width. The All-Absorb pads are specifically made for training, although they are perfect for the inside dog. There are directions for use on the side of the box. Once again, make sure that you order these pads for a smaller breed dog. If you disregard the measurements and and they don't suit your pet's needs you can't blame the pads. Very nice pads and perfect for smaller breed dogs, especially those little rovers.
